Next practice for those in the SYF team would be this coming wednesday, 2pm, please do not be late. You guys are supposed to learn the ronde lyrics and be able to sing properly (with lyrics) by wednesday. As for those who are not in the SYF team, sorry for the delay but your SLs will be contacting you all soon. Do be reminded that the food ban for SYF members has already started and as explained, the food ban is for your own good, as the one who will be suffering the most from a bad throat would be yourself. Lastly, submit your letters/MCs to explain for your absence from practice if you haven't. Thanks.

Hello guys. Next practice for everyone (including those not in SYF team) will be tomorrow at 3pm. For those who are not taking your bio exam after school, you are allowed to come to the music room earlier to study or rest. The room will be open from 2pm onwards. Please behave appropriately and DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING IN THE ROOM. Please try as much as possible to memorise Ronde. The midi files have been uploaded for your reference. Reminder, for those who still want to audition for SYF, your last audition will be on saturday. Thanks.(:

Hey guys:) Next practice is next Friday, 25th Feb. take this CA break and revise as much as possible(including ronde) :) Congratulations to the 56 of you that made it into the SYF Team =D Fret not for those that did not get into the SYF Team, you guys are given one last chance on next Saturday, 26th Feb. Please learn up ronde part 3 including the lyrics as Mr Kwei will be auditioning you on that part. EDIT: Click HERE for Ronde Verse 3 Midi File for those who want to try audition next saturday, in case you want to put it in your iPod and replay and replay and replay(like my iPod stuck on replay, replay ay ay ay). Please convert the file into mp3 yourself, my computer does not support the conversion.

Hi guys. Next practice will be tomorrow, 2pm at the music room. Congrats to all those who made it to the syf team after the auditions today! For those who didn't make it, don't fret. There will be a second audition tomorrow for those who didn't make it today, and for those who didn't turn up today (with a valid reason). From today's auditions, i can infer that Mr Kwei is looking out more for projection/resonance and tone, amongst other things. If you need help, go and listen to the midi for The Wind (30 jan post, scroll down). If you have problems with other techniques, try calling your SLs for verbal advice? Don't ask your SLs if Mr Kwei is going to test the same thing as today, or if they know what is going to be tested, because they don't know. For those who are auditioning tomorrow, good luck. :)

Hey Choir, If you need any help with your parts, in preparation for Thursday and Friday's auditions, please feel free to approach me. Although there is no practice tomorrow, I will be in the music room from about 1.45pm tomorrow. Please come over if you have any clarifications. Regards, Justin

EDIT #2: WEDNESDAY PRAC HAS BEEN POSTPONED to thursday, 2.30pm for this week only due to auditions. This coming Saturday's prac is cancelled for exams. PRactice resumes on next Friday. Hello. Next practice will be tomorrow morning at 7.30am. Meet outside the PE Dept. There will be COMPULSORY PT. For sec1s: 1) PT is compulsory. If you are going to skip it, you need an excuse letter/ MC. 2) There will be 3 sports, soccer, badminton and captain's ball. If you are going to play badminton, you are to bring your own badminton racquets and shuttlecocks. You are free to choose whatever games you want to play. 3) Bring an extra set of clothing to change after PT, and also plastic bags to store your soiled clothes, so that you don't stink up the music room. 4) If you are going to play soccer, remove the black stuff in your shoes before you go up to the music room. Thanks. EDIT: Wear your PE attire to PT. For your change of clothing, it must be school based. (can be PE attire or class jersey etc)

Hello. Our CNY performance will be tomorrow. For seniors that are performing, please leave your classes and be at the music room by 8.50am. BRING YOUR SCHOOL TIES, or you will not be allowed to perform. Also, please memorise your lyrics for ying chun hua if you haven't, especially for those people standing in the front row. Thanks.
