Hello. There are some important things to take note. 1. Practice for this holiday: Friday, 16 Dec 2011, 9am Saturday, 17 Dec 2011, 8.30am 2. Those who took photos during the Malaysia trip please kindly send your photos to Jeff. Tomorrow is the performance! Everyone gather at the foyer at 2 p.m. For those who didn't receive their vests and ties come at 1.30 p.m. to collect. Thank you. Edit: Bring your Full penguin suit along. Transportation is arranged there. Dinner is provided so don't need to worry. The whole thing will start at 7++ pm so have a rough gauge at what time we will end. However, the return bus trip has not been confirmed yet so you can prepare for some arrangement back home. We will inform you tomorrow so you can make the respective arrangements. Forget what i just said. There will be a bus to pick us up from PA at 10.15 pm. On another note, those 20 people selected for the national day celebration on Monday please please go watch the music videos, especially those who were absent today. the songs are HOME , COUNT ON ME SINGAPORE AND IN A HEARTBEAT . Make sure you know the song well. There will be a song sheet given to us on the day so you don't have to worry about the lyrics. wear a red shirt on Monday. That's all. EDIT: For the twenty people performing, wear your red shirt to morning assembly. Morning assembly will roughly end at 8 after the national day message etc. Do not return to class, proceed straight away to the hall and gather at the back stage.

Hello guys :3 Next prac will be this Saturday 23/7/11. Please be outside the P.E. dept by 7.30 a.m. and don't be late. There will be compulsory pt. You are reminded that we will be conducting a full penguin suit check this Saturday as there will be a full dress rehearsal next Wednesday. If you still don't have the penguin suit please get it ready over the weekends. Approach your SLs if you need help. Those who ordered the choir phototaking photos please remember to bring the money tomorrow. On another note, please ensure that you remember basic things like having a black file with scores, writing materials and waterbottle with you. Also, focus on Wen yu or whoever is conducting at all times. As i said these are basic and we don't want to be reminding you every prac. As Wen Yu mentioned please file in the three scores into your black file page by page if we need it for speech day. You should be able to memorise your scores by now.

Hey choir, Please have a good rest, drink lots of water, sleep early,... (you know how it goes!) Make sure that you warm up your body with some stretches as well as some physical movement (eg. jumping jacks) before you come to sch. Be at the music room tmr by 8.30am, in your penguin suit (minus vest and tie). For those who left their clothes in the music room, please be there earlier, change, and be ready by 8.30am as well. Do be reminded that we ALL have to return to VS by bus after our performance. Its the final 2 weeks to SYF, keep up the good work and try to improve even more. There will be a workshop at TKSS, comprising the same schools that came that day. You will be dismissed from TKSS, but if you choose to, there is a bus chartered to send you back to VS. For all those who missed the chinese workshop, there will be a makeup in the afternoon which is COMPULSORY. Our progress these two weeks have been great, showing that we do have the capability to sing, its whether we want to. Much of us are singing out more already, but I believe that we can definitely do better. Remember, everyone's 100% effort is what we need, not any lesser than that. Get focused at the very first try and give your all each time we sing. Do keep the strong desire for singing going and remember to practise the techniques such as support at home. Also, please take care of your throats as again, its our responsibilty as a singer to take care of our throats. Last me

Next practice for syf team members will be on next friday, 11th march, 2pm outside the music room. Do not be late. Also, please take note that there will be no practice on 9th march, wednesday. Memorise all 3 syf pieces by next friday, inclusive of dynamics as well. Do continue putting in effort in your singing, and also your focus, which is very much important. As for non-syf members, practice for you guys will resume after syf. Do not be disheartened and continue to improve your singing. There will definitely be much more performing chances to come. Hello guys. Next practice for the SYF team is this Friday,2pm. Meet outside the music room. A gentle reminder that if you are unable to make it for choir, it has to be a valid reason. Project work etc are NOT valid. MCs, extra lessons are valid. However, SYF takes priority over extra lessons so you are excused from them. If you are sick but still come for school, you can sit behind and listen. Mr Kwei's 3 lifelines include valid reasons e.g. sickness so please come for all practices as it's very important. The Midis/Pronunciations are at the right side, below committee 10/11.

Hi guys. Next practice will be tomorrow, 2pm at the music room. Congrats to all those who made it to the syf team after the auditions today! For those who didn't make it, don't fret. There will be a second audition tomorrow for those who didn't make it today, and for those who didn't turn up today (with a valid reason). From today's auditions, i can infer that Mr Kwei is looking out more for projection/resonance and tone, amongst other things. If you need help, go and listen to the midi for The Wind (30 jan post, scroll down). If you have problems with other techniques, try calling your SLs for verbal advice? Don't ask your SLs if Mr Kwei is going to test the same thing as today, or if they know what is going to be tested, because they don't know. For those who are auditioning tomorrow, good luck. :)

Hello. Next practice will be tomorrow morning at 7.30am. Meet outside the PE Dept. There will be COMPULSORY PT. For sec1s: 1) PT is compulsory. If you are going to skip it, you need an excuse letter/ MC. 2) There will be 3 sports, soccer, badminton and captain's ball. If you are going to play badminton, you are to bring your own badminton racquets and shuttlecocks. You are free to choose whatever games you want to play. 3) Bring an extra set of clothing to change after PT, and also plastic bags to store your soiled clothes, so that you don't stink up the music room. 4) If you are going to play soccer, remove the black stuff in your shoes before you go up to the music room. Thanks. EDIT: Wear your PE attire to PT. For your change of clothing, it must be school based. (can be PE attire or class jersey etc)

Also, i can't get it to accelerando and ritardando, so i will leave that as it is as well. Also, due to lousy midi making, the melody parts for the SATB version don't come out that clear.. I didn't add in the bird whistles, bird feathers, and scream because the midi software i'm using doesn't have them, and I FORGOT TO ADD IN THE SOLOS. :P Anyway, other than all of that, there are NO ERRORS, so have fun listening. :) Prac tmr will be at 2pm, at the music room. Sec1s will come at 3.45pm. Revise through your ying chun hua and keep in the middle of the road, and syf songs as well.
