Hey guys, next practice will be on this Thursday in music room at VS, from 9.00am to around 1.00pm latest  since this will he the only practice before we set out for caroling this weekend. We will have combines and sectionals and it will be a good chance for you to clarify any doubts you have with your SLs. Those who cannot make it for any of the caroling sessions are excused from this practice. For those people going for caroling, please inform your SLs if you are unable to make it. Hi Guys, the next practice is on  Wednesday,  4 December 2013 from 8.30am to 12.00pm++* . Please do cheer up and don't be too disappointed about the trip to Thailand that has been cancelled. You will still have your chances to travel overseas in the near future. Even though the trip is cancelled, our competition is not and it will be held on 10 December 2013, Tuesday at VJC . So, please keep your morale up and work hard for the incoming competition. Hi Guys! The incoming choir practice for the whole of November is out! Just for clarification, we will not be involved in the Open House but we will be training hard for the incoming VOS and of course Rhapsody next year. The next practice will be on Wednesday, 30 October 2013 from 2.00pm to 5.00pm++ . Some of the practices are in the afternoon because there is O Levels in the morning. Hi guys, there will be no more choir practices until the end of this month after CA2. This is because we are currently under the CA2 break so study hard and score well for your exams! Also, for those who have yet to submit your VOS Thailand trip form to Ms Lau, please submit it with your cheque/edusave to Po Yen tomorrow or latest by Tuesday . Hi guys next practice will be this Saturday (25/5) at 7.30 a.m. There will be PT so please meet outside the PE department. This includes the Secondary 1 students so please wear your PE attire for PT. There will be sectionals on that day and practice will end at 1 p.m. Also it will be handover day. On a side note, the Music Talent Development Centre (MTDC) will be having their auditions on that day from 1 to 3 p.m. at Commonwealth Secondary School so those who are interested to join, do go for the auditions.

Hi guys, this is probably my last time posting on the choir blog. There will be phototaking next Tuesday (21/5) at 2.45 p.m.  which includes Secondary 1s. Please bring your full penguin suit and meet outside the music room at 1.45 p.m . Sec 1s please go and buy your penguin suit this weekend and there will be a check on Monday. Sec 1s please be outside the music room on Monday at 1.20p.m. If you don't know what the penguin suit consists of, please go to the link on the left. Basically its just long sleeve white shirt, black long pants, black socks and black shoes. The vest and ties will be given to you. Handover will be carried out directly after phototaking and Secondary 1 students have to come for it also. EDIT Handover will be next Saturday but phototaking still on Tuesday.

HI GUYS TOMORROW IS OUR BIG DAY! Please report at 8 a.m. tomorrow (17/4) sharp outside the choir room! For your attire, come in your bumble bee PE shirt and pants then wear your black long pants over your PE pants! Come with your black socks and shoes also! Remember to bring the rest of your penguin suit (vest, tie, white long sleeve shirt) ! You only have to bring your phone , wallet and a disposable water bottle to school!

Hi guys next practice will be tomorrow (16/4) at 3 p.m. Same thing, you are allowed to leave class at 2.35 p.m. For Wednesday, come to school at 8 a.m. and go straight to the choir room. Dressing will be your PE attire with your long black pants and black shoes and socks. Remember to bring your vest, tie and long sleeve shirt. Belt if your pants are loose. Bring a disposable water bottle in case also.

Hi guys next practice will be tomorrow (15/4) at 3 p.m. You are allowed to be released from lessons at 2.35 p.m. so you have NO EXCUSE to be late. This practice will be a short one like how it was on Saturday. On a side note, make sure the last 2 practices will be better than the previous ones. Good is not enough as there is always room for improvement. Also, please make sure you don't fall sick as SYC is just a few days away.

Hi guys , next practice will be tomorrow (30/1) at 8.30a.m. There will be no PT. Do not be late!

Next practice will be this Wednesday (27/3) from 4p.m. to 5p.m. From 5p.m. to 5.30p.m. you all will have your dinner in school and the chicken rice stall should be open. Then after dinner we will have a bit more warm-ups and the bus to NUS for the workshop will come at about 6p.m. The workshop will be from 7p.m. to 9p.m. and there will also be a bus to bring us back to VS. Those who have not paid your $8 please do so! Tenors will be having your re-auditions this Wednesday while Basses will be on Saturday (Saturday auditions may be in the afternoon so make sure you are free) . All of you know how much our standard have dropped from the last few practices so if you want to participate in SYC y'all better learn up your parts WELL ENOUGH to pass the audition!!  Whatever Mr Kwei, Casey and your SLs have told you (dynamics/choreography/tone/technique/etc.), please remember it and apply what they have told you. On a side note, practices from now on will only involve the SYC team.

Hi guys for this coming Monday, there will be a SYC presentation in the auditorium in the morning after assembly with the other performing arts CCAs. Please meet at 7.10 a.m. outside the music room and we will be having assembly in the music room. Please remember your school tie. Next practice will most likely be on Wednesday and the workshop will be at night at NUS but I will confirm the details and post again.

PT will end at 10.30a.m. and practice will start at 1p.m. so for the time in between, please go and change into your uniform and have your lunch. Practice will end at 2.30p.m. and we'll proceed to Siglap South Community Centre for the workshop. Non-SYC people and secondary 1 students do not need to come for this practice. Hi guys next practice for the SYC team will be tomorrow (16/3) at 7.30a.m. PT will be from 7.30a.m. to 9.30a.m. Practice will start at 10a.m. and end latest by 11.30a.m. After that you will have to meet at VJC performance theatre at 2.30p.m. sharp so do not be late from lunch. The workshop starts at 3p.m. and will end around 5 to 6p.m. For non-SYC people and secondary 1 students, you will have to go to VJC at 2.30p.m. also. A ttire will be choir T-shirt with your uniform pants and full school uniform for secondary 1s .

Hi guys next practice will be next Friday (15/2) at 2p.m. I know it's Chinese New Year but please protect your voice and try not to eat so much of food that will cause you a sorethroat. Hi guys, next practice will be this Wednesday (6/2) at 3.30p.m. You will only be having sectionals for this practice so your SLs will be telling you where the location of your sectionals will be so please go there directly. As for Tenor 1s, you will be taking the choir room. On a side note, congrats to all of you for making it into SYC. For those whom Mr Kwei said are on probation please buck up as your SLs will be testing you again. Also remember that from now till SYC, Mr Kwei is very strict on attendance and only allows your to miss practice if you are in hospital. Not even extra lessons are allowed so if you do not want to get kicked out you better not miss any practice.

Hi guys next practice is tomorrow (2/2) at 8.30a.m. Mr Kwei will be having his second round of auditions so those who did not pass the last time remember to practise and revise your songs. Gentle Reminder: Please make sure you have your choir file containing the 3 scores. A pen or pencil to take down notes and your water bottle. These are the basics that you all should already know so please remember.

Hi guys, just a reminder that next practice will be this Saturday (5/1) at 7.30a.m. There will be PT so please be outside the PE department. Also, this Friday (4/1), we will be collecting vest and ties as well as the money for camp  ($12) at the music room from 1.15 to 2.15p.m. If you do not bring on Friday, the last chance to give is on Saturday and if by then you still have not returned your vest and ties, there will be a fine of $50.
