Victoria School Choir

Hi guys next practice will be this Friday (28/12) at 9a.m . Those who went for the camp please remember to bring $12 and also those who have not handed in your vest and ties , next practice will be the last chance or else you will be fined $50. EDIT There will not be practice this Friday. Next practice will be on Saturday (5/1/13) next year. We will be collecting vest and ties and the money for camp as mentioned above. Remember if you do not return your vest and ties by week one you will be fined $50 and comm members double.

Hi guys theres been slight changes,meeting time will be   8.15a.m. tomorrow outside music room as we have to avoid parents and Secondary 1 orientation crowd. Remember to bring your consent form or acknowledgement letter with your parent's signature. Also it is compulsory to bring a sleeping bag and a set of PE attire.

To all people going for Choir Camp from 20/12/2012 to 22/12/2012 , please download the consent form (and packing list if you do not already have a copy) for the camp which is in the "downloads" section to the left of this post. Meet outside the choir room at 9am on Thursday 20/12/2012 . Please do NOT follow the timetable on the consent form . If for any reason you are unable to download the form or are unable to print it, please write a letter of acknowledgement and get your parents to sign it. If you have neither the consent form nor the letter of acknowledgement, you will not be allowed to come for choir camp and you will be deemed absent without valid reason (thereby meaning you will have to pay $20 ). A gentle reminder to those who have a valid reason of absence, please submit a copy of proof to any committee member. Note that this CANNOT be in the form of a parents' letter.  

Hi guys,  next practice would be  Choir Camp  which is this coming  Thursday at 9a.m.  It will be from  20-22 December 2012 . It is F.O.C, but those who are absent without valid reason will have to pay $20. If you have a valid reason for being absent during these 3 days, please produce proof (photocopy/picture of boarding pass/passport/MC etc) at the soonest convenient time. We will NOT be accepting parents' letters as an excuse.   The packing list has been issued today. Those who do not have a copy, please approach your fellow members to pass you one. On a side note, during PT today,Syazwan accidentally placed his wallet into a black crumpler bag. If you happened to have seen it or brought it home by accident, please return it the next practice.

Hi guys reminder next practice is Wednesday (5/12) at 8.30a.m . Remember to bring your vest and ties for Derek to collect. Another thing, TKSS' concert is this coming Monday at 7.30p.m. Please meet outside esplanade at 7.00p.m. sharp so thatwe can give out the tickets on time and there will be no delay for the concert.

People going for Jubilate on Monday, please remember to bring your penguin suit , personal medication and an iron for each of your groups. Reporting time is 9.30a.m. in school and don't be late. Next practice after Jubilate will be on Wednesday (5/12) at 8.30a.m.

All these practices will start at 8.30a.m. except for 3 and 17 November which will start at 7.30a.m. as we will be resuming PT. Hi guys next practice will be this Friday (24/8) . Please be outside the music room by 2p.m .   Firstly , those who have not return their vest and ties , remember to bring it the next practice. Secondly , remember to ask your parents about the Jubilate overseas trip and bring the letter by next practice then only can Ms Lau proceed with the arrangements. Thirdly , as we have said during practice, those who are good at art or are in AEP ,please come up with a design for the choir t-shirt . Since exams are over, you should have time to do it. Hi guys, next practice will be this coming Wednesday(18/7) at 3p.m.  Secondary 3 people are allowed to leave your class at 2.15pm. Please remember to bring your penguin  suit as there will be a full dress rehearsal for speech day which you can store in the music room in the morning (labelled with your name). In case you don't know, the penguin suit consists of white long sleeve shirt, black long pants, vest and yellow tie. You do not have to bring your black shoes. If you do not have your vest and tie which i doubt so, please look for Derek before this Wednesday. The rehearsal starts at 4p.m. and should end around 5.30-6p.m . so please be prepared.Thanks tavis

SORRY for the late notice but please be informed that there is a technical run rehearsal for speech day TOMORROW (11/7) . Please gather outside the music room at         3.30p.m. For Secondary 3 students having oral, you will be excused.  Another thing, if you want to order the choir photos, lower secondary look for Derek during your recess outside the P.E. department. For upper secondary, look for Ken Wei in the canteen during your recess. Each photo is $4 and there are no fun shots,just two different types of formal. Last thing to add on to my previous post, there will be a combined rehearsal this Friday (13/7) for speech day at 2.15p.m., but still be outside the music room by 2p.m. Thanks. Tavis

Hi guys ! Next practice will be on Saturday, 9am. There will not be choir practice on Friday as some students are having their O'level mother tongue oral examination. Please make sure all of you revise through your Yagi bushi choreo as we do not have much time left till Speech Day. Also, those members who are involved in the NDP choir thing do not need to come as you will be having the NDP practice in the afternoon. Thanks ! J.Casey

Another note, those of you who went for the Bratislava trip, our competiton songs have been uploaded onto the trip's blog, so do check it out. I hope you guys will listen to the songs and make markings on your scores of where you think can be improved on. Hi guys,    Sorry for the late notice. Tomorrow practice will be at 9am. Our upcoming event will be Speech Day and the songs we are going to sing are most likely Personent Hodie and Yagi Bushi. For open house people, this Saturday meeting time is 7.30am. Attire is school uniform and tie. You'll be allowed to leave after the performance, which may be around 9.15 - 9.30 am.
