Hi guys, this coming thursday, 30th december will be our performance for the new batch of sec one victorians. Meet outside the music room at 8.30am. Attire for the performance will be uniform and school tie, current sec2 batch, you all shall still wear short pants. Bring along your choir files with the scores filed. Lastly, revise through the songs properly as it shall be our last performance for the year already.

Hi people, the next practice will be tomorrow, Saturday, 7.30am outside the PE dept. We will be having, soccer, basketball and badminton. Those who wants to play badminton, please bring along your rackets and some shuttlecocks. However, if the PSI index tomorrow is too high, we will stop PT and carry on with normal practice. Also, please ask your parents for approval to attend the choir camp this november, 19th to 21st, friday to sunday. Camp will end on Sunday in the morning, so it will not pose as a problem for most church-goers. Open house performance will be on the 30th October, Saturday. The attire will be school uniform and school tie. Lower secondary students are not required to wear long pants. Excluding today, there are only 7 more days to the open house performance, so do revise the songs yourselves and approach your SLs if you have any problems.

~Hey Choir~ Exams finally over, so we will start choir prac on this tuesday, 19th of october. We will be practicing for the outcoming VS Open House, so be outside the music room at 1.45pm.

Phototaking for all choir members will be on this thursday, 7th october. For sec1s and 2s, whose exams will be ending earlier, do take note that the room will be open from 10am. Please bring along your study materials and make full use of the time. Only studying will be allowed in the room. No other activities are allowed. Be down in the foyer by 1230pm, changed into the full penguin suit. For the sec3 members taking geography, leave your belongings in the music room, quickly change and be down at the foyer after your paper. As for sec4 members who want to join in the phototaking, you are allowed to leave class at 1230pm to change and gather at the foyer. However, sec4 members will have change back into the school uniform and return to class after the phototaking. Do contact your SLs if you have any queries.

Hey guys, my first post on the choir blog. Firstly, I would like to sum up our experience during the taiwan trip. I believed that everyone should know the results by now, that we have gotten gold for mixed choir (youth) category and a silver for the mixed choir (open) category. Well, we have done our best so do not be disappointed and learn from this experience. To the secondary one choir members, this is your first competition with VS choir and I hope that it had been good experience. However, there is one thing which we could not emphasise more. Discipline. There are still much more room for improvement in terms of discipline and it should start from every single choir member. 休息是为了走更长远的路。As for the rest of the choir members, take it as a break, charge yourselves up and get ready to work for our next targets. Hello choir! We are back from taiwan. some of you may have achieved what you aimed for. some of you may not. however, double category winner + grand finalists AND having the 2nd highest score of the whole competition is a feat that can only be achieved only by every single one in vschoir giving their 101% best, considering that we are competing against people older than us. also, we didnt have any sec4s. (except jia lok) please remember that taiwan is not the end, there are still many more things to look forward to like YOG. always have the mentality that we work hard for our choir and our school. don't rest on your laurels, but instead aim for greater heights.

Hey VS Choir :) We've come a long way since we started practicing for our Taiwan trip... I just want to thank all of you for being cooperative with us through this past month. Through the ups and downs, together, VS Choir, we have made it all the way here. Hello people, Next practice for Taiwan competition singers is on Thursday at 2:15pm. Meet outside the music room. Mr Kwei and Mr Foong will be coming. Also, the food ban has been revised and standardised. From now on, these rules will apply: Banned Foods - These foods are completely banned; You are not allowed to eat them at all during the duration of the food ban. These items include: - deep fried foods - foods containing capsaicin(chilli, pepper .etc) - acidic foods - foods containing chocolates and nuts Foods to be Avoided - These foods may not be eaten before choir practice on such days. They include: - dairy products - cold foods - sugary foods - foods containing coconut milk Members caught breaking the ban will be dealt with accordingly. Gentle reminder that only MCs are accepted now. 9 more days to taiwan people!

~Hello Choir~ Tomorrow's combined practice is cancelled, so unless your SLs notify you, you are not required to come(meet outside music room at 2.50pm). Anybody who misses any other practice would be severely dealt with starting from tomorrow, you have already been warned. Only MCs will now be accepted. I have noticed that some people do not know what food does the food ban allow, so some of the items/stalls that you can from eat are: The Mixed Food Stall (No Fried Stuff) The Noodle Stall (No Fried Wontan,Laksa and Fried Fish OK?) The Chicken Rice Stal l(No Skin and excessive amts of oil) The Vegetarian Food Stall (NO HASHBROWN!!!) No you cannot consume ice-cream, and spicy stuff, deep fried food and any drink that contains either caffeine or citrus. Avoid dairy products as well. Please TRY to avoid oily food as much as possible. Remember for those who still have not passed in your vest and ties, tomorrow is the last day. Thank You 10 more days to taiwan people

Dearest Choir, Time flies. Really. I can still vividly remember last year this day, I'm sure the rest of the committee does too. Just a year a go, we received our committee badge. We began our journey, started serving the choir as committee members. It wasn't an easy start. It wasn't easy to get things in place, to get things organized. But as time goes on, we get up. We learn. We adapt. And we work better as a team. From the not-so-impressive performances in Speech Day, MOE Headquarters for Teacher's Day and ASEAN Youth Convention, we strived to improve ourselves as a choir. We worked as a team, eventually tasting the sweetness of success on 25 April 2010, Rhapsody IX . (:These memories are too fond--they still seem so new. Hey choir,  Sorry for the late post (just got home =S) There will be practice tomorrow, 10 June '10 , for those going for the Taiwan trip . Sec1s are to come at 8am, Sec2s and 3s at 9am.  Sopranos and Altos involved in the YOG performance will need to stay for afternoon practice from around 2 to 4 pm.  I understand that for those involved in both activities, you will be attending 5 consecutive days of practice this week. Hi Choir, Next practice for YOG people is Tuesday, 8 June '10 . Practice will begin at 12 noon and Mr Kwei will be coming. On Wednesday, 9 June '10 , YOG people are to assemble at the school foyer at 12 noon for warmups. The bus will leave for NUS at 1pm.
