Reflection

Hey guys, my first post on the choir blog.

Firstly, I would like to sum up our experience during the taiwan trip. I believed that everyone should know the results by now, that we have gotten gold for mixed choir (youth) category and a silver for the mixed choir (open) category.

Well, we have done our best so do not be disappointed and learn from this experience. To the secondary one choir members, this is your first competition with VS choir and I hope that it had been good experience. However, there is one thing which we could not emphasise more. Discipline. There are still much more room for improvement in terms of discipline and it should start from every single choir member.

休息是为了走更长远的路。As for the rest of the choir members, take it as a break, charge yourselves up and get ready to work for our next targets.

Next, Raffles Chorale and Raffles Voices will be having their concert this 26th July (Monday), 7.30pm, at the Esplanade. The tickets will be priced at $11. Please inform me as soon as possible if you guys are interested.

Once again, I hope that the choir will give the fullest cooperation and strive towards our goals. :D

[Edit]

Perhaps all of us need to encounter failure once in a while.

So that we will remember how bitter it is to not reach our target;
so that we will never ever take any success for granted;
so that we accept it. Learn from it. Get up. Move on. And do better next time.

Let's leave no regrets.

It is alright getting that Silver, Choir. So long as we enjoyed the process. At the same time, we need to learn from it. Accept it, but never accept it too readily. It is not a norm for VS Choir to attain a Silver medal, that's a fact and there is no use sugar coating it. This can be a worthy lesson for all of us if we learn from it.

And so we'll work harder and do even better next time, alright?

Looking back, we did try our best. And I believe this trip have leave you with a lot of fond memories. (:

Few years down the road, as we recall, we wont just remember the hotel we stayed in, the food we gobbled down, the sun and its scorching rays.
What mattered more is those times we dreamed together,
fought together,
failed together,
got up together,
and dream again, fight again, achieve again.

Because all these, we did it together. As a Choir. As a Team.
