Hello choir. SYF Choral Presentation has ended, and I am sure that everyone enjoyed the performance on the whole. Whether you felt we performed well or not, let us not dwell too much upon this and look forward to the future. There will not be any practices until further notice, so please focus on your academics more and catch up with whatever work that needs to be done. Your SLs will be contacting you around after the CA week, about 3 weeks from now. While there is a break from choir, I urge you to continue practising your techniques and facial expressions by yourself. Use your time wisely! We also would like to extend a farewell to the Secondary4s as the choral presentation marks their very last performance with the rest of the choir. I am sure that they will have many unforgettable memories performing with VS Choir as they continue on their journey in life. To everyone else, strive for the very best results in your studies!
There will be practice for ALL choir members at the music room at 1.40pm. You are required to leave your classes at 1.30PM and head straight to the music room. Those who did not bring their penguin suits are to bring it tomorrow. If any item is missing, the person will not be allowed on stage.
The next practice for all choir members will be on Monday 23rd July at 2.45pm in the music room. Do not forget to bring your penguin suit for inspection. Buy all the items which do not have or which do not meet the standards by tomorrow. You are allowed to leave your suit in the music store room. Even if this event is not a competition we all must put in our best efforts to show them how great our choir can be together as one. Every single one of you in the choir is important so put up your best show and enjoy your time on stage singing together with your friends. Find joy in it!
There will not be practice tomorrow,Saturday 21st July. The next practice for everyone will be on Monday, 23rd July at 2.45pm. This will be the practice the day before choral presentation.
There will be practice tomorrow, 20th July, starting at 1.40pm. Do remember to bring your Performance attire(penguin suit) which consists of: 1)White, long-sleeved collared shirt 2)Black, long pants 3)Black non-ankle socks 4)Black formal leather shoes 5)Black vest 6)Yellow tie If you do not have anything from 1-4, buy them today otherwise I don't think you'll be able to be part of our Co-Curricular Activity photo. If the item that you lack is either 5 or 6, then tell us and we may be able to lend you a set tomorrow. You may place your attires in the Music Store Room in the morning at about 7am. Please be disciplined as unruly behavior is unacceptable. You will be presenting yourself to the photographer(s) and other teachers tomorrow, leave a good impression. Also, bad discipline warrants a punishment so bear this in mind as you may regret your actions. Don't challenge us to take action. We will if we must.
There is practice tomorrow for all choir members at 2.15pm in the music room. There will be no rehearsals. Those who ordered the tickets are to bring $5 for each ticket ordered.

Hey guys! Welcome back from Thailand! I hope that everyone has enjoyed their trip and gained valuable experiences through this competition. Congratulations on the Gold award, you guys have deserved it. Special thanks to the committee members who went for A Voyage Of Songs 2007 for putting in all your hard work, effort and determination to help bring back the Gold award. Also to the 3 teachers who accompanied us to Thailand, Ms Lau, Mrs Bala and Mr Tan for helping us in administrative details and ensuring our members' safety. And last but not least, everyone else who were part of the competition group for being there and enjoying yourselves singing on stage. You guys can be proud of yourselves. However, we must not rest on our laurels, this is just a step forward to greater heights. We still have another upcoming performance which we must present good music once again this time to a local audience - the SYF Choral Presentation 2007, held on July 24th. 8 Days to next performance!
